 ] DESCRIPTION: A SCENARIO EXISTS WHERE THERE IS A WINDOW IN WHICH     ]
 ] BFS, IF ENGAGED, WOULD INHIBIT AUTOMATIC SEPARATION OF THE EXTERNAL ]
 ] TANK AND REQUIRE THE CREW TO SEPARATE FROM THE TANK MANUALLY.  IN   ]
 ] ADDITION, FOR NOMINAL ASCENT ENGAGEMENT IN THE SAME WINDOW BFS WOULD]
 ] NOT PERFORM A PRESSURIZED LO2 DUMP.                                 ]
 ]                                                                     ]
 ] IF BFS IS ENGAGED AFTER PASS CLOSES THE LO2 AND LH2 FEEDLINE DISCON-]
 ] NECT VALVES AND BEFORE ET SEP HAS OCCURRED, BFS WILL RE-START THE   ]
 ] ET SEP SEQUENCE (BFS RESTARTS THE ET SEP SEQUENCE ANYTIME IT IS     ]
 ] ENGAGED PRIOR TO ET SEPARATION) AND EXPERIENCE THE FOLLOWING        ]
 ] PROBLEM:      WHEN BFS ATTEMPTS TO QUALIFY THE FEEDLINE DISCONNECT  ]
 ] VALVE INDICATORS BY CHECKING THEM AGAINST THE EXPECTED OPEN CONDI-  ]
 ] TION (WHICH NO LONGER EXISTS BECAUSE PASS HAD ALREADY CLOSED THE    ]
 ] VALVES), BFS WILL BE UNABLE TO QUALIFY THE INDICATORS.              ]
 ]                                                                     ]
 ] QUALIFYING THE INDICATORS IS A NECESSARY CONDITION FOR BFS TO       ]
 ] PERFORM THE AUTOMATIC SEPARATION. QUALIFYING THE INDICATORS IS ALSO ]
 ] A NECESSARY CONDITION FOR BFS TO PERFORM A PRESSURIZED LO2 DUMP IN  ]
 ] THE NOMINAL ASCENT MPS DUMP SEQUENCE. AN UNPRESSURIZED LO2 DUMP WILL]
 ] OCCUR.                                                              ]

 ] FOR NOMINAL ASCENT, AOA AND ATO THE SEP INHIBIT WILL BE DISPLAYED   ]
 ] AND THE CREW SHOULD PERFORM A MANUAL SEPARATION PER ESTABLISHED     ]
 ] CREW PROCEDURES. BE AWARE THAT FOR NOMINAL ASCENT THE LO2 DUMP WILL ]
 ] NOT BE A PRESSURIZED DUMP.                                          ]
 ]                                                                     ]
 ] FOR TAL AND RTLS THE SEP INHIBIT WILL BE DISPLAYED BUT NO RESPONSE  ]
 ] IS REQUIRED BECAUSE SEP INHIBIT WILL BE OVERRIDDEN AFTER AN I-LOADED]
 ] TIME DELAY FOR TAL OR A 6 SECOND DELAY FOR RTLS AND AUTOMATIC SEP   ]
 ] WILL OCCUR.                                                         ]
