 ] DESCRIPTION:                                                        ]
 ]  A TIMING DIFFERENCE EXISTS BETWEEN PASS AND BFS EXECUTION OF OMS/  ]
 ]  RCS INTERCONNECT SEQUENCE EXECUTION WHICH CAN CAUSE BFS TO READ    ]
 ]  THE STATE OF THE INTERCONNECT VALVES PRIOR TO COMPLETION OF THE    ]
 ]  COMMANDED VALVE MOVEMENT.  THIS CAUSES PASS AND BFS TO PERFORM     ]
 ]  DIVERGENT INTERCONNECT PROCESSING RELATIVE TO PERCEIVED VS ACTUAL  ]
 ]  VALVE CONFIGURATION.  THE PERCEIVED VALVE CONFIGURATION BY BFS     ]
 ]  WILL RESULT IN BFS CONTINUING TO COMMAND AN OMS/RCS INTERCONNECT   ]
 ]  AFTER PASS HAS COMMANDED A RETURN TO NORMAL CONFIGURATION.  IF BFS ]
 ]  IS ENGAGED AFTER PASS HAS TERMINATED THE INTERCONNECT, BFS WILL    ]
 ]  SIMULTANEOUSLY ISSUE THE OMS/RCS INTERCONNECT VALVE COMMANDS (28   ]
 ]  TOTAL), CAUSING A POWER OVERLOAD.  THE POWER OVERLOAD IS SEEN BY   ]
 ]  THE SSME CONTROLLER WHICH SHUTS DOWN ALL RUNNING ENGINES.  ALSO,   ]
 ]  POSSIBLE LOSS OF AC POWERED SYSTEMS MAY OCCUR.                     ]
