 ] ROLL/YAW PRIOR TO ROLLING THROUGH WINGS LEVEL CAN INDUCE THE        ]
 ] GUIDANCE TO "ABORT" THE ROLL REVERSAL MANEUVER (I.E., ROLL COMMAND  ]
 ] SIGN WILL REVERT TO THE PRE-ROLL REVERSAL POLARITY).                ]

 ] THIS MODING OF FCS ROLL/YAW TO MANUAL CAN BE CAUSED BY CREW ACTION  ]
 ] VIA THE EYEBROW PUSH-BUTTON OR BY MOVING THE ROTATIONAL HAND        ]
 ] CONTROLLER SUCH THAT IT EXCEEDS THE LATERAL DETENT DEADBAND LIMIT.  ]
 ]                                                                     ]
 ] THE ABOVE-DESCRIBED SCENARIO IS ATTRIBUTABLE TO (1) AN INCREASE IN  ]
 ] THE ALLOWED HEADING ERROR DEADBAND WHICH OCCURS DURING AUTO MODE    ]
 ] INITIATION OF THE ROLL REVERSAL, (2) USE OF THE ROLL ATTITUDE SIGN  ]
 ] DURING MANUAL ROLL/YAW OPERATIONS TO RESET THE ENTRY GUIDANCE ROLL  ]

 ]INITIATION OF THE FIRST ROLL REVERSAL BUT PRIOR TO WINGS LEVEL,      ]
 ]THE CREW SHOULD CONTINUE THE INITIAL ROLL REVERSAL AND RETURN TO     ]
 ]AUTO AFTER PASSING THROUGH WINGS LEVEL.  IF THE CREW RETURNS TO      ]
 ]AUTO PRIOR TO WINGS LEVEL, THE ROLL REVERSAL WILL BE "ABORTED"       ]
 ]AND THE VEHICLE WILL CONTINUE FLYING TO AN EXPANDED ROLL REVERSAL    ]
 ]DEADBAND.  THIS IS NOT A SAFETY OR PERFORMANCE ISSUE, BUT THE        ]
 ]TRAJECTORY TIMELINE WILL BE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT THAN PLANNED.         ]
